The Lapse of a Capricorn

OCT 23 rd: On 18/10/2010 I was roaming in the corridors to stealthily escape from my college to prepare for my exams. It was then that i was informed of a placement by a US based Biotech company the subsequent day. For a person like me who is waitng for every opportunity to escape to the US without an inch of financial trouble to her parents...my dreams vroomed to a lab in the neuroscience department in a university where i was testing the possibility of simulating a human brain with circuits! Awesome it sounds na! Thud! Everything fell down like a cloud burst....washed off the way even Brahmaputra would be kind enough not to if it had met me....! 

All dreams transcended the speed of light with a false promise or rather an offer for an interview by a company to make my professor's students their " workforce" !  I piled up my documents for the INTERVIEW with the 'coveted' company. I browsed through their website may be 'n' times , where n is greater than 24 hrs! I  looked up Naukri.com , Jobsahead, and all job search engines to identify the job profile.Then got a profile of a HR staff of that 'expertise' demanding company on FB through my friend and looked through every comment and post for the slightest hint of the company's expectations. My hopes started turning into multistorey buildings ( the way our CWG complexes were constructed).

 On 23/10/2010 , ready to attend the interview and post the ' PLACED' term that evening on my Fb wall...to announce to the world of my financial security o n the cyber space. And their after 15 min of my arrival at the hotel for an interview....my friend bombed me with the news of the interview unlikely to happen.It was then that I was slowly laughing at myself like a nut , unable to see all the castles and advanced wishes of a job fall one by one...!!!Hmm...may be lesson learnt is don't Dream too BIG! :)

The Capricornian Nature seems to be too much in me - The ambitious nature! Need to change a bit! :)
